34. Tutorial #1: Audrey Kitching

I was asked to make icons with similar coloring to this , originally made by ? So I tried my best and here's the result:

Photobucket

Made with PS7

1. Photobucket So here's our base. Dublicate & screen if needed. I didn't have to with this one though.

2. Add a new solid color layer #d5a677 Photobucket and set it to burn at 100%
Photobucket

3. Add another solid color layer #f37616 Photobucket and set it to multiply at 100%
Photobucket

4. And another one #41b7cc Photobucket and set it to softlight at 100%
Photobucket

5. Now it's time to curves! RGB input: 47 & output: 98
Photobucket

6. Dublicate your base and drag it to the top. Set it to saturation at 100%
Photobucket

7. Selective coloring will do the last trick
REDS: -78, 21, 84, 32
YELLOWS: -100, 0, -60, -59

Photobucket
After that add this texture:
Photobucket by [info]dusty_memories and set it to multiply at 100%
Photobucket

OPTIONAL 8. If you want some light blue into the eyes, select the eyes with lasso tool and fill them with #7bf6eb Photobucket and set to color at 100%
And here it is in all its glory:
Photobucket

Other icons I made with the same coloring:

Great tutorial! But what font did you use on your other example icons? The white cursive one. Thanks!

I'm a bit confused about step number 6. Well first off it's "duplicate" not "dublicate" and how do you set the saturation? I went ahead and duplicated it in step one and just dragged it onto my result from step 5. Was that what you meant?
