35. Tutorial #2: The Chronicles of Narnia - The Lion, Witch & wardrobe

[info]captain_sarah was asking for coloring help @ [info]icon_tutorial with similar to these: 1. & 2. originally made by ?

And here's my result:

Photobucket

Made with PS7

1. Photobucket so here's our base. Don't dublicate & screen unless it's a very dark image.
Add a new solid color layer #fef3f4 Photobucket and set it to overlay at 10%
Photobucket

2. Add another solid color layer #eef7fc Photobucket and set it to overlay at 10%
Photobucket

3. Then make a Hue/sat layer with following settings:
Master: SAT: +20
Reds: SAT: +35
Yellows: SAT: -40
Greens: SAT: +50
Cyans: SAT: +50

Photobucket

4. Then back to solid color layers. Add a new one #090f2b Photobucket and set it to difference at 44%
Photobucket

5. And another solid color layer #b7eefa Photobucket and set it to overlay at 60%
Photobucket

6. Now it's the time for selective coloring!
REDS: -100, 0, 0, 11
GREENS: 100, -100, 100, -76
CYANS: 0, 2, -1, -2

Photobucket

7. And another selective coloring layer:
REDS: -17, 0, 0, 0
YELLOWS: -2, 0, 100, 0

Photobucket

8. Add a new solid color layer #d6cba5 Photobucket and set it to multiply at 22%
Photobucket

9. Almost ready but not quite! Add this texture:
Photobucket made by [info]dusty_memories and set it to multiply at 100%. AND YOU'RE FINALLY READYY!
Photobucket

+10. Tip: If you're still not happy with the result, try this: Dublicate the base and set it to color burn at 3% or more depending on your image!

Here's other examples using this tut:

Yeah well, it debends a lot on your base. And sometimes you've gotta play with the tut a little bit. Sometimes overlay at 60% is too much etc.. :).
But hey, that doesn't look so bad!
